The reverse design of this coin shows a fully kitted 1915 New Zealand infantry soldier in front of a flowing New Zealand flag. Soldiers such as the one depicted on this coin typify the resourceful, enterprising and courageous Anzacs.A total of 33,752 New Zealand 1990 ANZAC Five Dollar proof coins were released in a joint venture with Australia. Together with a 1990 ANZAC Australian Five Dollar proof coin, the pair were sold in a 75th ANZAC Anniversary package for $75. Valuation of the packaged pair is shown below:
