| This proof coin was encapsulated and distributed in a special plush presentation booklet housed inside a slimline presentation box. It is the fourth in a series of six ten dollar coins issued between 1989 and 1994 displaying prominent Birds of Australia. At the NAA Coin Fair held in Melbourne during July 1992, a limited edition issue of 1,000 standard emperor penguin proof coins were sold, each accompanied by a specially numbered certificate.
