    Notes:

In this turbulent century, Australia has emerged as a single nation, negotiated periods of prosperity and hardship, seen a new spirit forged in the fire of conflict and become a powerful influence in the cause of peace.

Many of the century's milestones are reflected in our coinage, with the florin a traditional choice for commemorative issues until the introduction of decimal currency. This set reproduces the designs featured on Australain florins and 20c coins from 1910 until 1998, together with a single one crown coin.

As the century draws to its close, this set traces, through its coins, Australia's progress from a new nation to a player on the world's wider stage.
