1985 7 Coin Proof Set

This set represents the annual release by the Royal Australian Mint of proof versions of Australia's circulating coins. The 1985 set consists of seven coins:
  • One Cent,
  • Two Cents,
  • Five Cents,
  • Ten Cents,
  • Twenty Cents,
  • Fifty Cents and
  • One Dollar. A total of 74,089 proof sets were released. With the introduction of the dollar to Australia's circulating coinage, the old style sealed case could no longer house the seven coins. A new-look see-both-sides hard plastic case was introduced and presented in a special blue plastic protective wallet.
