Notes:

The Tasmanian Bank was established in Hobart Town in 1826 as a partnership between J T Gellibrand and son. Along with other interests, normal banking functions were undertaken. The bank survived for only 3 years, closing in 1829 when the partners transferred their interests to whaling.
