Notes:

The value of the note was expressed in two currencies. The face value of Threepence was redeemable in Spanish dollars at a conversion rate where one Spanish dollar was equal to five shillings - ie. the note was valued at one twentieth of a Spanish dollar.

Stace issued at least two different types of printed threepence currency notes. On the above example and the one at top right, the words 'In Spanish Dollars ...' are well indented while on the bottom right example, those words appear against the left margin. The left-hand scroll design has also been modified.
