Notes:This is the only known surviving Ferdinand VI holey dollar. It is also the only surviving holey dollar with the 'pillar', non-portrait reverse design, a design which was last struck in 1771 in Mexico, 1770 in Bolivia and 1772 in Peru. A 1753 Lima Mint example of the original matrix design is shown at right.
