Notes:
For the first time in Australian numismatic history, a second design for the same denomination, commemorating the same event, was struck.
The coin was included as part of two 6 coin proof sets (Normal and Gumnut) and two 6 coin mint sets (Normal and Gumnut) released by the Canberra mint. A further 1,500 uncirculated coins were included in a 5 Note, 6 Coin portfolio released by Note Printing Australia.
It was also included in a special One Dollar Uncirculated Dual Set.
