1998 Bass & Flinders First Day Cover Coin & Stamp Pack

Packs consisting of a specimen quality 1998 Bass & Flinders Fifty cent coin and two 45 cent Tools of Exploration Postage Stamps were jointly issued by Australia Post and the Royal Australian Mint, Canberra on 10th September, 1998.

The trio are housed in a First Day Cover envelope. The postage stamps have been cancelled with a specially worded ink mark which reads 'First day of issue 10 September 1998 Navigators Vic 3352'.

Notes:

The stamps were designed by Lynda Warner of Hobart while the pack was designed by Sandra Harman of the Australian Post Graphic Design Studio.

At the ANDA fair held in Sydney between 30 October and 1 November, 1998, 1,000 packs were issued on each of the three days, showing the date of issue.
