Notes:
 | The specimen coin has a 'reverse frosting' finish where the field is frosted to contrast with the highly polished raised design. It was distributed encapsulated and mounted on a colourful see-both-sides cardboard card protected by a plastic sleeve. |  |
| For the first time, a proof version of the one ounce silver skippy dollar coin was released. The proof has frosted designs with mirror fields. 5,000 of the proof coins were packaged in a special, unofficial plush presentation case, accompanied by a numbered certificate. The remainder of the mintage of approximately 15,000 were released individually, encapsulated in plastic, without packaging. |  |
