Notes:

In 1992, a 1937 threepence previously found in change and described as tarnished but Fine to Good Fine sold in London at a Sotherby's auction for $44,700. This coin is believed to the only example held privately. Six are known to be held in museums.

In 1997, the 60th anniversary of the issue of the 1937 pattern threepence was celebrated by the Perth Mint with the release of a privy marked 2 ounce silver bullion coin.
