This coin is highly sought by collectors. It was produced when Melbourne mint officials decided to re-engrave unused dies from 1921. Officially, the mint denied that this occurred, probably in an attempt to cover up a poor engraving job. From the prices collectors are willing to pay, it is evident that they have over-ruled any official denial. Most examples found are in lower grades of preservation, only three are known in EF or better condition.
