| This coin was encapsulated and distributed in a special cylindrical presentation case housed inside a high presentation box. It is the fifth in a series of six piedfort ten dollar coins issued between 1989 and 1994 displaying prominent Birds of Australia. At the NAA Coin Fair held in Melbourne during July 1993, a limited edition issue of 1,000 piedfort palm cockatoo coins were sold, each accompanied by a specially numbered certificate.
