Queen Victoria 1887 Five & Two Pounds |
Issued to mark the Golden Jubilee of rule by Queen Victoria, these coins are similar in design to the Jubilee sovereign issues. See the Gold Rush article for more information.
Notes: Accurate valuation of these pieces is extremely difficult due to their unavailability in the market place. Their tiny mintages make them extremely rare and valuable. All coins have an 'S' mintmark (Sydney Mint) on the reverse above the date and the Jubilee Portrait Head of Queen Victoria on the Obverse.
