Australian sixpences were issued in the following reigns & years.
Notes:See the Commonwealth Pre-Decimal Coinage and Intrinsic Values articles for more information.The striking problems encountered because of the small size of the threepence were not as prevalent in the sixpence series. The larger coin size allowed a greater striking pressure with the result that sixpences generally show good design detail. The most difficult date to find well struck-up is 1922 while the rarest date is 1918. A weakly struck shield design on the reverse is regularly found on 1952 and 1953 sixpences.
