This set represents the annual release by the Perth Mint of proof versions of Australia's bullion silver coins. The 2003 5 coin set comprises:
  • $30 - Kilogram,
  • $10 - Ten Ounce Evolution of the Alphabet,
  • $2 - Two Ounce,
  • $1 - One Ounce and
  • 50c - Square Half Ounce.
    • The mintage limit for the 2003 5 coin two kookaburras silver proof set was set at 350. The set was issued with each coin individually encapsulated and housed in a special terra-cotta coloured, hinged-lid presentation case.
