Gold Lunar $5 Series

Issued by the Perth Mint, this set brings together one twentieth ounce specimen versions of the gold lunar series. The reverse design of each coin in the 12 year series shows a different animal in the chinese astrological cycle. A special jarrah wooden display case was released seperately at a cost of $51 to house the collection with each coin separately encapsulated.

The coins released in the set so far are:

  • 1998 1/20th oz Gold Lunar Year of the Tiger,
  • 1999 1/20th oz Gold Lunar Year of the Rabbit,

  • 2002 1/20th oz Gold Lunar Year of the Horse, and
