This set represents the annual release by the Royal Australian Mint of proof versions of Australia's circulating coins. The 2001 set consists of six coins:
Five Cents,
Ten Cents,
Twenty Cents,
Colour Federation Fifty Cents,
Colour Federation Dollar and
Two Dollars
A total of 60,000 sets were released with the six coins housed, sealed in a see-both-sides hard plastic case and presented in a special blue leatherette protective wallet and a colourful presentation box.
Notes:
The colour used for the Coat of Arms on the 50 cents and the Map of Australia on the Dollar was restricted to the proof versions only.
This proof set was included in 100 Federation Montages.
