2000 8 Coin $100 Gold Proof Olympics Collection

The Perth Mint, in a joint program with the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra, released this set of 8 coins over a two and a half year period between October, 1997 and May, 2000. The set comprises:
  • Journey Begins - Olympic Logo,
  • Dedication - Against the Elements,
  • Dedication - Training and Practice,
  • Preparation - Shot Putter,
  • Preparation - Athlete,
  • Achievement - Olympic Stadium,
  • Achievement - Olympic Torch, and
  • Achievement - Athlete. The coins in the collection are housed, individually encapsulated, in a hinged lid jarrah presentation case. Each set is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity for each coin and for the collection as a whole together with a prestigious medallion.
