The Millennium Calendar Privy Mark Collection, consisting of 12 one ounce bullion silver, kookaburra on branch $1 coins, was released by the Perth Mint in late 1999. Each coin in the collection depicts the god, emperor or symbol that has come to be associated with each month in our calendar. ![]() The coins in the collection are:
Mintage was limited to 5,000 of each coin. 1,000 collections were reserved for distribution within Australia by ballot through the Perth Mint's mail list. The collection was presented in a special display case, incorporating a marble-look frame able to be hung on a wall to display all 12 coins. The set was accompanied by a desk calendar, incorporating a certificate of authenticity for each coin and including the fascinating history of the calendar's evolution and the origin of each month's name.
