1999 Centenary Privy 2oz Silver 4 Coin Set

This set comprises 4 privy marked 2 oz silver coins released by the Perth Mint:
  • $2 - Two Ounce Silver Proof - 1930 Penny Privy;
  • $2 - Two Ounce Silver Specimen - 1933 Shilling Privy;
  • $2 - Two Ounce Silver Specimen - 1923 Halfpenny Privy and
  • $2 - Two Ounce Silver Proof - 1932 Florin Privy. The number of complete sets is limited to 1,500 - the mintage of each coin in the set.

    Notes:

    The Perth Mint released the 4 coins in the set individually at ANDA coin shows held in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne during 1999. A small proportion of the 1,500 mintage of each coin was reserved for purchase by Perth Mint mail customers. Allocation was by ballot.

    In a change to the mail list distribution procedures, a single ballot was held for the entire series, not separate ballots for each coin as in previous years. Successul collectors in the ballot received a complimentary dark grey leatherette presentation case with black velvet lining, packaged in a specially prepared cardboard box, to house the collection.
