1999 6 Coin Proof Set

This set represents the annual release by the Royal Australian Mint of proof versions of Australia's circulating coins. The 1999 set consists of six coins:
  • Five Cents,
  • Ten Cents,
  • Twenty Cents,
  • Fifty Cents,
  • Older Persons Dollar and
  • Two Dollars.
    The six coins were housed, sealed in a see-both-sides hard plastic case and presented in a special leatherette protective wallet and a colourful presentation box.

    Notes:

    The description panels on this set incorrectly states that the reverse design for the $2 coin was created by Stuart Devlin. The reverse was in fact designed by Horst Hahne. The error was notified on an erratum card which accompanied the set.
