1999 - 2000 Kookaburra $1 Silver Bullion Australian Themes & Landmarks Privy Mark Collection

 


The Australian Themes & Landmarks Privy Mark Collection, consisting of 10 one ounce bullion silver kookaburra $1 coins, was released by the Perth Mint over two years between 1999 and 2000. Each coin in the collection features a privy mark depicting a famous Australian Theme or Landmark.

The reverse design and privy mark of the coins released depict:

  • 1999 Two Kookaburras - Perth,
  • 1999 Two Kookaburras - Gold Coast,
  • 1999 Two Kookaburras - Adelaide,
  • 1999 Two Kookaburras - MacDonnell Ranges,
  • 1999 Two Kookaburras - Sydney,
  • 2000 Kookaburra on Branch - Uluru,
  • 2000 Kookaburra on Branch - Great Barrier Reef,
  • 2000 Kookaburra on Branch - Monkey Mia,
  • 2000 Kookaburra on Branch - Kalgoorlie,
  • 2000 Kookaburra on Branch - Australia 2000, Also known as the 'Reflections of Australia' set, mintage was limited to 1,500 of each coin. A special green leatherette presentation case was released to house the entire collection.
