1998 3 Coin Midi Mixed Metal Proof Set
In 1998, for the first time, the Perth Mint released a mixed metal set bringing together half ounce proof versions of the Platinum Koala and Gold Nugget, along with the one ounce silver Kookaburra. The 1998 3 coin midi set comprises:
  • $5 - Gold Twentieth Ounce Grey Kangaroo Joey,
  • $5 - Platinum Twentieth Koala on Fallen Log and
  • $1 - Silver One Ounce Two Kookaburras. The 250 mintage limit for the 1998 3 coin Midi Mixed Metal proof set was fully subscribed. The coins in the set are housed, individually encapsulated, in a jarrah presentation case.
