The Palladium Emu series consists of a thematic progression of three Proof $40 coins released by the Perth Mint over a three year period between 1995 and 1997.
The Perth Mint produced 750 specially designed, black leatherette typeset presentation cases (issued at $65 in August, 1997) to house the three coins in their original packaging. |
The coins in the series are:
Emu with Eggs,
Emu with Chicks and
Two Emus.
While the maximum mintage in each year of issue was 2,500 coins, the number of complete sets is limited to the 750 official presentation cases.
Valuation : 1995 - 1997 $40 Palladium Emu Series
Notes:
In 1998, a limited edition of 250 Palladium Emu Print sets were released by the Perth Mint. Each set consists of 3 prints showing the intricate detail of the work of the original designers, Louise Pinder and Milena Milan. The sets sold for $90.
