1995 6 Coin 'Gumnut' Baby Proof Set

This proof set, released in response to the success of the Royal Australian Mint's Uncirculated 'Gumnut' sets issued each year since 1993, consists of proof versions of Australia's six circulating coins:
  • Five Cents,
  • Ten Cents,
  • Twenty Cents,
  • Weary Dunlop Fifty Cents,
  • One Dollar and
  • Two Dollars.
    Also included is an 'Antique Finish', Sterling Silver (92.5%), Gumnut medallion with a diameter of 45 mm, a thickness of 3 mm and a weight of 43 grams. One side of the medallion is blank to enable a child's name to be engraved.

    A total of 3,624 'Gumnut' baby proof sets were released, the six coins being housed, individually encapsulated, in a plush green leatherette, hinged lid presentation case and a colourful presentation box.
