1992 6 Coin Mint Set

This set represents the annual release by the Royal Australian Mint of Australia's circulating coins and is notable for the absence of the One and Two cent coins which were struk for the last time in the previous year. The 1992 set consists of six coins:
  • Five Cents,
  • Ten Cents,
  • Twenty Cents,
  • Fifty Cents,
  • Barcelona Olympic Games One Dollar and
  • Two Dollars.
    A total of 118,145 mint sets were released, the six coins being housed, sealed in a fold-out see-both-sides, colourful presentation bubble pack and enclosed in a protective envelope. Despite the reduction in the number of coins in the set from eight to six, the presentation bubble pack remains the same size as the one introduced in 1985.

    This set celebrates the staging of the Olympic Games in Barcelona - the XXV (25th) Olympiad - by incorporatating the commemorative one dollar coin.
