1990-99 $5 Nugget 1/20th Ounce Kangaroo Set
The Australian Nugget 1/20oz Kangaroo Collector Set, consisting of ten Specimen Gold Bullion Five Dollar coins was released by the Perth Mint late in 1998 to commemorate 10 years of the Kangaroo design appearing on Australian Gold Nugget Collector bullion coins. Each coin in the set is individually encapsulated and housed in a jarrah hardwood case with a gold foil design on the case top

The reverse designs of the 10 coins depict:

  • 1990 Red Kangaroo,
  • 1991 Grey Kangaroo,
  • 1992 Common Wallaroo,
  • 1993 Nail Tailed Wallaby,
  • 1994 Whiptail Wallaby,
  • 1995 Red Kangaroo,
  • 1996 Kangaroo & Joey,
  • 1997 Bounding Kangaroo,
  • 1998 Two Kangaroos, and
  • 1999 Grey Kangaroo Joey, The issue was restricted to a limit of 2,000 sets.
