1988 8 Coin Mint Set

This set represents the annual release by the Royal Australian Mint of Australia's circulating coins. The 1988 set consists of eight coins:
  • One Cent,
  • Two Cents,
  • Five Cents,
  • Ten Cents,
  • Twenty Cents,
  • Bicentenary Fifty Cents,
  • Bicentenary One Dollar and
  • the newly released Two Dollars.
    With a total of 240,000 sets, the 1988 bicentenial mint set has the highest number of any of the Australian Mint set issues. The eight coins were housed, sealed in a fold-out see-both-sides, colourful presentation bubble pack and enclosed in a protective envelope.
