1984 6 Coin Mint Set

This set represents the annual release by the Royal Australian Mint of Australia's circulating coins. The 1984 set consists of six coins:
  • One Cent,
  • Two Cents,
  • Five Cents,
  • Ten Cents,
  • Twenty Cents and
  • Fifty Cents.
A total of 150,014 mint sets were released, the six coins being housed, sealed in a fold-out see-both-sides, colourful presentation bubble pack.

The decision to strike a dollar coin was made too late for it to be included in the 1984 mint set. For collectors, the coin was released separately, also sealed in a see-both-sides presentation bubble pack.

    Notes:

In a large proportion of 1984 Mint Sets, the clear plastic used to house the coins has toned to a golden yellow colour on the obverse side, making the coins difficult to see and significantly reducing the value.
