In 1967 and 1968, mint sets were not issued because of the absence of circulation 50 cent coins in those years. Finally, in 1969, the Royal Australian Mint resumed the practise started in 1966 of an annual release of Australia's circulating coins as a collector set. The set consists of six coins:

One Cent,

Two Cents,

Five Cents,
-
Ten Cents,
-
Twenty Cents and
-
Fifty Cents.
A total of 16,825 mint sets were released, the six coins being housed, unsealed in a red plastic wallet.
