1966 6 Coin Carded Mint Set - Type 1 London 5, 10 & 20 Cents

This set is the first of an annual release of Australia's circulating coins struck for collectors by the Royal Australian Mint. The set consists of six coins:

  • One Cent,

  • Two Cents,

  • London Mint Five Cents,

  • London Mint Ten Cents,

  • London Mint Twenty Cents and the

  • Round Silver Fifty Cents. A total of 67,250 mint sets were released with London Type 5, 10 and 20 cents, the six coins being housed on a special presentation card.

    Notes:

    This set was the early issue 1966 carded mint set and contained London (Royal Mint) minted 5c, 10c and 20c coins. The last 10,000 carded sets contain all Australian Mint Coins - see the separate entry for this set.

    1966 Mint sets were also released by the Royal Australian Mint in a Blue wallet and by the Reserve Bank in red, blue, green and black wallets.
