1960 4 Coin Proof Set

With this issue, for the first time Australian proof collector coins were packaged as a set rather than sold individually. Released by the Melbourne Mint, with each coin sealed on a polythene sheet, the set consists of four coins:

  • Florin,

  • Shilling,

  • Sixpence and

  • Threepence. A total of 1,509 proof sets were released, the four coins being housed, sealed, within a polythene sheet.
