Notes:
The 1943 Bombay penny variety without the I mintmark beneath the obverse portrait has not been confirmed to exist. Reference to the coin has appeared in some catalogs over recent years, hence the valuations stated above. However, prominent coin dealers deny it's existence, all purported examples found to date proving to be counterfeits created by modifications made to the standard 1943 I penny.
