Notes:
| The English, Scottish and Australian Bank Limited supplied 23,999 pound note forms to the Australian Government in 1911. A further 200,000 notes were obtained by the Commonwealth Treasury direct from the bank's printers, Sands & McDougall, Melbourne. These additional notes were printed by a lithographic process with serial numbers recorded in the range from Z 1 to Z200000. Many, including the example shown above, are missing the bank serial numbers. |  |
