1999 Maritime Heritage $20 Note & 10 Stamp Half Sheet Premium Portfolio |

Note Printing Australia and Australia Post jointly issued a Premium Portfolio in 1999 featuring an MH Prefix, Red Serials $20 polymer note and a specially produced half sheet of ten 45 cent postage stamps. The Portfolio pays tribute to the shaping of Australia in it's seafaring past. The Polly Woodside, one of Australia's most well known vessels, is depicted on the stamps while Mary Reiby, founder of a thriving shipping and cargo business after coming to Australia as a convict, is depicted on the obverse of the $20 note. A total of 1,000 Premium portfolio's were sold. The $20 note in the portfolio has the overprint and the serial number printed in red with a special serial prefix of MH (Maritime Heritage).
