1996 30 Years of Decimal Currency $5 Note & 10 Pane of Stamps Deluxe Portfolio |

Note Printing Australia and Australia Post jointly issued a Deluxe Portfolio in 1996 featuring a QE Prefix, Black Serials $5 polymer note and a specially produced pane of 10 45c postage stamps. The Portfolio commemorates the 30th anniversary of the conversion of Australia's currency from Pounds, Shillings and Pence to Decimal Dollars and Cents. Queen Elizabeth II's 70th birthday is celebrated on the stamps in the pack. A total of 2,000 Deluxe portfolio's were sold. The $5 note in the portfolio has a serial number printed in black with a special prefix of QE (Queen Elizabeth). The stamps were printed by Note Printing Australia using the intaglio process and overprinted with '30 years of decimal currency 1966-1996'. Valuation :
