To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of polymer notes in Australia, Note Printing Australia issued 1,000 Premium $10 polymer note pairs.
The notes in the pair are:

1988 Johnston/Fraser 26 January, 1988 Overprint Ten Dollars, and
-
1998 Macfarlane/Evans 26 January 1998 Red Serial/Overprint Ten Dollars.
The 1988 note has an AA serial prefix with a random number and a blue overprint date of 26 January 1988. The 1998 note has an AB98 prefix with a number in the range 000001 to 001000. The serial number on the latter is in red, as is the overprint date of 26 January 1998.

Note Printing Australia also released 1,500 Deluxe 10th Anniversary $10 Polymer Pairs with black serials/overprint on the 1998 $10 note.
There are significant premiums on low numbered pairs. The following table provides an estimate of the value of pair number 001 which raised $1,500 for charity at auction when it was first released.
