1998 Deluxe 10th Anniversary $10 Polymer Pair

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of polymer notes in Australia, Note Printing Australia issued 1,500 Deluxe $10 polymer note pairs.

The notes in the pair are:

1988 Johnston/Fraser 26 January, 1988 overprint Ten Dollars, and

1998 Macfarlane/Evans 26 January 1998 Black Serial/Overprint Ten Dollars. The 1988 note has an AA serial prefix with a random number and a blue overprint date of 26 January 1988. The 1998 note has an AB98 prefix with a number in the range 001001 to 002500. The serial number on the latter is in black, as is the overprint date of 26 January 1998.
