1997 $10 Uncut Premium Polymer Note Pair Red Serials

A total of 1,000 Premium Note Pairs with Red serial numbers were released by Note Printing Australia in 1997. Each note in the pair is a Macfarlane/Evans Polymer $10 Note (Red Serials).

The notes in the pair have serial number prefixes in the range AA 97 to DF 97. The six digits in the serial number of each note match - in the range from 010326 to 010375.

Notes:

These valuations are for pairs cut from the centre of a full sheet. Pairs featuring a top or bottom 'selvedge' command a small premium.

A further 1,000 Blocks of 4 with Red Serials, 1,600 Blocks of 4 with with Blue Serials and 1,600 Pairs with Blue Serials were released by Note Printing Australia.

There are significant premiums on low numbered pairs. The following table provides an estimate of the value of pair number 001 which raised $190 for charity at auction when it was first released.
