1993 First & Last $10 Note Set Embossed Deluxe Folder

To celebrate the release of the $10 polymer note for circulation, Note Printing Australia issued First & Last $10 Note Pairs in an Embossed Deluxe Folder. The polymer note in the set is overprinted with the date of issue - 1 November 1993 - and has a black serial number in the range AA 93 001001 to 010000.

The notes in the set are:

1993 Fraser/Evans - Black Serials - 1 November 1993 Overprint $10 Polymer, and

1991-92 Fraser/Cole MRR Last Prefix $10 Paper. A total of 9,000 sets were offered for sale.

Notes:

A further 40,900 $10 First & Last Sets were released by Note Printing Australia in 1993: 900 in a Premium Portfolio and a further 40,000 in Standard Souvenir Folders.

An error version of the Embossed Deluxe folder also exists where the date of issue overprint is missing on the polymer note.
