To celebrate the release of the $10 polymer note for circulation, Note Printing Australia issued First & Last $10 Note Pairs in a Premium Portfolio. The polymer note in the set is overprinted with the date of issue - 1 November 1993. Both notes have matching red serial numbers in the range AA 93 000101 to 001000.
The notes in the set are:

1993 Fraser/Evans - Red Serials - 1 November 1993 Overprint $10 Polymer, and

1993 Fraser/Cole - AA 93 Prefix - Red Serials - $10 Paper.
A total of 900 sets were offered for sale.

Notes:
A further 49,000 $10 First & Last Sets were released by Note Printing Australia in 1993: 9,000 in an Embossed Deluxe Folder and a further 40,000 in Standard Souvenir Folders.
A small number of premium folders have been reported with mismatched serial numbers on the paper note. On one known example, the paper serial number is AA93 009267 while the polymer serial number is AA93 000276.

There are significant premiums on low numbered folders. The following table provides an estimate of the value of the first Premium Portfolio with serial number AA 93 000101 which raised $2,000 for charity when it was initially offered for sale .
