1992 $5 Uncut Paper Note Horizontal Pairs 25th Anniversary 1967-1992 Overprint


A total of 3,000 Horizontal Note Pairs were released by Note Printing Australia at the Melbourne Coin Fair in 1992. Each note in the pair is a Fraser/Cole Paper $5 Note with XXV Prefix Serial Number. One of the two notes in the pair is overprinted with the lettering '25th Anniversary 1967-1992' to commemorate the original release of the $5 banknote, one year after the change-over to decimal currency in Australia.

Notes:

These valuations are for pairs cut from the centre of a full sheet. Pairs featuring a top or bottom 'selvedge' command a small premium.

A further 1,000 Horizontal Pairs without Overprint were issued through Note Printing Australia's mailing list.

1,500 Vertical Pairs with Overprint, 500 Vertical Pairs without Overprint 1,500 Blocks of 4 with Overprint, and 500 Blocks of 4 without Overprint were also released by Note Printing Australia.
