Reprint Variations and Errors:

A number of different reprint variations and errors have been found in 1991 Blocks of 4.

Approximately 20 blocks have been found which originally came from the same sheets that were used to produce the error type superceded Fraser/Higgins uncut pairs. This signature combination has been removed and reprinted for the Melbourne coin fair. The notes in the blocks have serial prefixes of MFQ, MFS, MFU and MFX with numbers between 600106 and 600110. Again, the signature combination has been removed but this time they were reprinted for the Sydney coin fair. The notes in the blocks have serial prefixes of MGS, MGU, MGX and MGZ with numbers between 600100 and 600110. Valuation details are:

A number of blocks released at the Sydney coin fair were found to have creases and other defects. Buyers who returned these blocks to NPA were sent replacements which varied slightly from the originals in the placement of the coloured dots in the selvedge (commonly called 'traffic lights'). Some were returned with the security identification plate number. Approximately 25 to 30 of these replacement blocks have missing security identification plate numbers. The remaining 10 to 15 replacement blocks have the plate number. Valuation details for these two types are:
