Notes:
Simeon Lord was sentenced to 7 years transportation in 1790 for stealing a large quantity of cloth from Robert Peel. On arrival at Sydney Cove in 1791, he was assigned as a servant to Captain Riley of the New South Wales Corps. Once emancipated, he became an entrepreneur with his former master, expanding into ship building and sealing. Despite infamy for his dubious business ethics, he prospered until his death in 1840.
