Valuation : 1823 John Lepine Ten Shillings Currency Note
| Very Good | Fine | Very Fine |
| 1996 | | 3,500 | 4,500 |
Notes:
The value of the note was expressed in two currencies. The face value of Ten shillings was redeemable in Spanish dollars at a conversion rate where one Spanish dollar was equal to five shillings -
ie. the note was valued at two Spanish dollars.
| Lepine used two different pre-printed note stocks for his colonial/promissory notes. The first had the words Ten Shillings, Value Received / Payable in Dollars at 5s each in 2 lines on the note (shown above) while the second type had the words Ten Shillings, or Two Dollars / Value received in 2 lines (shown at right). | |
