Notes:
Between between February and May, 1823, prior to using notes with pre-printed spanish dollar denominations,
Lempriere, Weavell & Co used promissory note forms which allowed the number of Spanish Dollars to be handwritten at the time of issue. A One Dollar example is shown above. Two and Four Dollar examples are shown below, the one and four dollars are dated March 25, 1823, while the two dollars is dated May 26, 1823.
