Notes:

The London Bank of Australia Limited took over the London Chartered Bank of Australia Limited in the financial crisis of 1893. It endorsed the failed bank's issued notes by altering them with an overprint. The bank was absorbed by the English, Scottish and Australian Bank in 1921, now a part of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited.

In 1911, the bank was one of 16 banks who supplied blank note forms to the Australian Government. These notes were superscribed as redeemable in gold and issued as the first Commonwealth notes.
