Notes:

John Hutchinson was conditionally pardoned by Governor Macquarie. After a failed cloth and pottery business venture with Simeon Lord, he became a prominent merchant in the early years of the colony particlarly in the manufacture and dying of cloth. Prior to becoming a founder of the Bank of New South Wales, Australia's first bank, he was a prolific issuer of currency notes. An interesting point is that his signature, and all other records of the period, spell his name without the first N which is pre-printed on the notes.
