Bank of Van Diemen's Land Limited Banknotes: 1824-26

The Bank of Van Diemen's Land commenced operations while Governor Brisbane's, ultimately unsuccessful, experiment with a dollar based monetary system was in operation.

The bank's first note issues were made in 1824 in nine denominations between Fifty Dollars and Half a Dollar. Examples are shown below.
